What Might Bonds, Clemens and Norman Have in Common? | HuskerVoice

I know that the PGA Tour has nothing to do with Husker Football, but I am an avid golfer and I enjoy watching. Now, with all the talk of Barry Bonds (age 44) and Roger Clemens (age 46) and how their career has continued with their age allegedly due to steroid use. Well, I was wondering if the “talking heads” of the sports world will start to claim that Greg Norman is using steroids.

Why not? He’s 53 and is in contention for the British Open. Yes, many times you will see a more “experienced” player come out and post a couple of great scores the first day or two, only to falter to the more stronger, younger players. Not so for Norman, he has continued great play all four days of a major championship in some extremely difficult conditions.

He’s in great shape, but does not appear to have the bulked up swollen look like Clemens and Bonds. I am certainly not saying that Greg Norman is on steroids, but I won’t be surprised if at least one analyst mentions what the “secret” to Norman’s success might entail.

Crazier things have been said in the sports world . . . you never know.

What do you think?
