C.J. Zimmerer: Husker’s are Going Back to the Power | HuskerVoice

C.J. Zimmerer could potentially help Nebraska Football look like the Nebraska Football we all love to remember. He’s the kind of football player that looked like a big combine bowling through a cornfield, biting down the cornstalk, tearing it up to shreds and leaving the shucks fettering in the dust.

This guy is a home grown, South Omaha, tough boy that is as focused as an Eagle after it’s prey. He has been offered a scholarship by Barney Cotton and Zimmerer wants to focus on playing for Gross High. He’s a fullback that makes you dream of all the great fullbacks from the past. The only thing that would make this story a true Nebraska tradition is if he were a walk-on.

It will be fun to watch this kid throughout the season this year. I have always had a special place in my heart for South Omaha because of one of the greatest players for Nebraska came from there - Dave Rimington.

. . . Let Your Husker Voice be Heard!!
