Cody Green. A verbal commit, will it stick? It sounds like he will follow through with his commitment, according to his high school coach, Jerry Stewart. This guy looks to be a good prospect, but he may have one weakness.
He tore ligaments in his right ankle last year and his high school coach indicated that he will only run him 80%. This could work in our favor because he will work on his passing game, but will he retain his speed and quickness? Only time will tell. At 6-foot-4, 220 lbs, and speed and a strong arm, what’s not to like?
Stewart said that he has an outstanding work ethic, he was watching film for three hours to prepare for his final season. I am trying desperately not to dream too big - Big XII Champs? National Title? Ok, ok, I may be getting ahead of myself, but I don’t think a Big XII Championship is or should be out of reach within the next three years.
I just hope that he sticks with Nebraska. This could potentially help Nebraska to land a few more high quality players in skill positions. Once you get one highly touted recruit, the rest just seem to follow. I can’t wait to see who may follow.
What do you think, is Cody Green our QB of destiny? Will he follow through and wear the Scarlet and Cream? Or will he decide to ditch Nebraska and stay home and go to A&M?
